to Beta Cottage
Galiano Island‘s ferry wharf is located at Sturdies Bay, and accommodates foot passengers and vehicle traffic from the Tsawwassen ferry terminal on the Mainland, and the Swartz Bay terminal on Vancouver Island.
Reservations to Galiano Island from the mainland are strongly recommended, but Swartz Bay does not take reservations to the Southern Gulf Islands. Make sure to arrive at the terminal well in advance of the reservation cut-off.

Sailing with BC Ferries
Both foot passengers and vehicles often load from the vehicle deck on the Salish class ferries. The Salish Eagle, the Salish Raven, and the Salish Heron service the southern Gulf Island ferry routes from Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay.
Once onboard, proceed to the passenger decks to find a galley, observation decks, and a gift shop.
BC Ferries direct sailings from the Mainland are common and approximately. 50 minutes, while sailing from Swartz Bay, are often longer and vary, as these sailings service other islands on the way. Sometimes you may even be required to transfer to another ferry to connect to Galiano Island.
Flying With Harbour Air
Harbour Air Opperates flights from Montague Harbour to Coal Harbour, Downtown Vancouver, and the South Terminal at YVR.
Flights start at $130. Check with Harbour Air to confirm flight schedules and ticket purchase regulations.
